Nice to meet you!
Hi, my name is Christen. I've been teaching yoga in and around Baltimore, MD since 2012. Yoga has been a lifelong journey for me, offering a deep well of knowledge and inspiration that I continue to explore. It has provided a limitless source of learning and growth—not just for my personal practice but also for the benefit of my students.
My yoga journey began with my first teacher training at Charm City Yoga in 2010. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to deepening my understanding of the practice, completing over 900 hours of trainings and courses along the East Coast. These include Yogaworks, Kripalu, Lotus Palm, Pranakryia (Prenatal), and most recently, Katonah Yoga. My passion for helping students drives my commitment to continued learning and growth.
With years of experience as a practitioner and teacher, I understand the importance of longevity and living comfortably in your own body. I work closely with my students to help them find alignment, prevent injury, and develop a sustainable practice. I prioritize safety and use intentional, inclusive language to ensure my classes are accessible for all, especially those who are neurodivergent.
I live in Baltimore County with my three amazing kids, two birds, two dogs, and a cat. When I’m not teaching yoga, I love gardening, spending time in nature, cooking, knitting, reading, and enjoying time with friends. These activities ground me and bring balance to my life—something I aim to share with my yoga community through every class I teach.
